HOW DID YOU NAME YOUR PETS?

This is Buddy!

I think that the names people give their pets are interesting and, although I am not qualified to analyze the choices they make, I'm guessing the names we choose probably say a lot about us.
What kind of pets do you own? What did you name them? Is there a rhyme or reason to your choice? I would love to know about it.

Buddy is cute! Looks a lot like a cat my daughter used to have named Molly. Her other cat was Monty and the dog is Mattie. Something about M names in that family, but I don't know what that means.

We have a cat. His name is Rusty. He is mostly an orange color, kind of like Rust.

My current dog, Suds, is a poodle-bischon mix and when she's clean (which never lasts long) her coat looks like soapsuds. Other dogs we've had were a dalmatian named Brenda because that name means fiery and dalmatians are fire dogs and another dalmation named buttons because his spots looked like buttons. We got our black lab mix, George, on Washington's birthday and our terrier mix, Bungee, was full of energy and bounced around like a bungee cord.
